Lovely Lou Organic is our new source for wearable organic essentials. Created by Langley mom Jennie Abbot, Lovely Lou Organic encourages us to not only eat organic but also clothe ourselves in it (we’ll be feeling good and looking good).
After discovering that over half a pound of chemicals is used to produce enough cotton for just one T-shirt, this mom was looking for something a little more earth friendly to adorn her little one. Lovely Lou’s cotton is grown and milled in the U.S. without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers (now that’s what we call fresh).
Lovely Lou offers a variety of items all made from organic fabrics such as receiving blankets ($22), baby bibs ($24), heatpacks ($32) and yoga bags ($65).
There’s even a Big and Lil’ Apron set ($62) – the perfect accessory to our all-natural, all-local dinner. (We pretend we’re too cool for matching outfits, but sometimes we kind of love them.)
