Ah, the dwindling days of winter. We know the calendar says spring, but we’re still craving warmth. Between pregnancies and new babies (and new numbers on the scale), we wish we had a one-size-fits-all option for this crisp, transitional season.
Then Elisa Alvarez-Smith sent us her fabulous Mom Shell, the most functional, natural, sweater-slash-wrap we’ve ever tried on. Long enough to cover our pregnancy bumps, our post-maternity lumps and even wrap around our wee ones while nursing or carrying, we’re getting friendly with all four designs.
On Monday we hung out with Heidi ($175), with her short-sleeved, belted feminine elegance. Wednesday we went for a walk in the park with sporty, hooded Gwenyth ($140, and no evil Tracy Anderson in sight). Friday we hit the local playcentre with Milla’s ($175) casual, uptown style. Best of all, each style comes with its own “Top-Up” Nursing Strap, meaning no more scrunching our clothes up under our chins (or worrying about smothering our little one’s face). With such an easy wardrobe option, the hardest part will be convincing us to take it off.
