Everyone says it’s a buyer’s market these days. But when we’re talking about designer maternity duds, nothing beats a great rental.
By now you may have heard of Paula Galenzoski and her maternity style-for-rental service, Dressed Beyond Conception, but some recent revisions and additions make it worth a fresh look.
Featuring hundreds of items from casual to special occasion maternity wear, Dressed Beyond offers single item rentals, as well as (recently revised) rent-in-bulk-and-save clothing packages – ranging from the “Oh Mama”deal on eight pieces ($153, a 15 per cent savings) to “The Due Date” of 34 pieces ($459, a 40 per cent savings) for a six-week period. Plus there’s the option to add to and customize any package, which is more than we can say for our financial options these days.
A one-week rental on “special occasion” wear will set us a back a mere $55 (perfect for summer weddings!), while two pieces of “business wear” cost $45.
Service at the private studio is by appointment only with daytime, evening, and weekend availability. The constantly updated merch reflects the needs of customers with the addition of winter coats, and even rentable Louis Garneau snowsuits for Baby.
Now that’s a concept we can buy into.
