Snack-to-School
video: healthy snack ideas for kidscanada
(Sep.06.10)
We hate to admit it, but sometimes it feels like we’re stuck in a goldfish-crackers rut when it comes to giving our kids snacks.
With school almost in session, we’re back to stressing about what to give the kids so they can make it to their next meal without freaking out. So we asked our sweet friend Rose Reisman to take us through some suggestions. (She’s raised four kids and has a successful healthy-eating empire! She knows!) Watch her common-sense-meets-fabulous approach to healthy snacks now.
* Rose recommends peanut butter. If your child is allergic, some seed butters like pumpkin or sunflower can be substituted with little fuss. We know peanut butter can't be sent to school, but if allergies are not an issue, we'd like to remind parents that the natural stuff is still a great source of protein at home.
