Why it's sweet:
This small book uses moving parts to terrific effect,  making an egg obey a handful of typical dog-training commands. Sounds simple? It is -- but children from ages 2 to 10 (and their parents) have all agreed with me that the effect is hilarious. I'm calling this the perfect gift for the chocolate-averse this weekend. And it's fairly cheep, too. (Ba-dum-bump!)
