The stage production of The Sound of Music was a huge hit this past year in Toronto, bringing the favourite movie to life for countless kids and adults. Maria fever even hit my house, so my daughter is thrilled with this:

 Why it's sweet:
This lovely gift book goes one important step past just telling the story with sweetly illustrated pop-ups. It also gives the lyrics to many of the favourite songs, so you can sing them with your little Maria fan! Each page features small booklets with pop-ups and more text in the corners to supplement the large 3D scene, allowing for more completeness. This book is one of my new favourite things. (See what I did there?)
