Once that little blue line appeared it seemed everyone had a labour story to share with us (and our excited glow soon turned a putrid shade of green).
In hopes of restoring our healthy glow and easing our anxiety, we’ve turned to the Calgary Childbirth Education Association: A team of sweet (not to mention highly trained and experienced) mamas, who provide doula services as well as pre- and post-natal education.
We began to relax when we signed up for the Becoming a Family Series (eight classes, two hours each, $195). The small group setting and the information presented left us feeling calm and prepared for getting this baby out (and what to do in those first few blurry-eyed weeks).
Now we’re serenely waiting for our water to break. Our only worry - do we name her Hazel or Harlow?
