We want our stories to inspire very sweet experiences, so we only write about products or places that we’ve enjoyed. All featured products and recommendations have been tried and tested by a sweetspot.ca representative – and if we don’t have a positive experience, you won’t find it here. We would never recommend a bad product, restaurant or service to a friend – and we will never share something we don’t believe in with our readers. It’s that simple (and yes, that sweet).
Nothing sour to see here…
On the rare occasion that a reader has a negative experience with something we’ve featured, we take it seriously. A business can have a bad day (not all manicurists are created equal), but we draw the line – and pull the story – if we receive three bad reports. (And if there’s just one notification of harassment or discrimination, we’ll remove our review immediately.)
Our stamp of approval is priceless…
We never accept compensation of any kind to feature a business as editorial in our newsletter or on our website. From cash to compliments (or lengthy love letters), bribery is powerless against our commitment to deliver information we think our readers will enjoy, based on our personal experiences. Although we sometimes receive sample products for testing, this never influences our decision to write about them (we pinky swear). If we ever pass along an error (unintentional, of course), we will update the site asap - and will let you know so that you don't miss out.
